asintended is the new creative outlet for graphic designer Clare Somerville-Perkins.

Whilst working in front of an apple mac for the last 16 years, something I swore I wouldn’t do when I was at art college, there became an urgent need for some hands on creative activity in my life.

I decided to combine my passions for print, typography, interiors and vintage finds and created asintended. It’s a place where I can escape to, creating hand made prints using silkscreen printing and letterpress.

There is a real connection to graphic design in my work – it runs in my blood really, something which I relish. The main question I ask myself is “would I hang it on my living room wall?” If it’s “yes!”, than it’s full steam ahead.

I really believe it’s important that people express themselves in their homes, and having an original piece of art to hang on your wall is just the icing on the cake.
